What is NEET MDS eligibility criteria

As per the NBE, for MDS candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Educational qualifications

• BDS degree: A candidate must have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a recognized dental college/university.

• Internship completion: Completion of a one-year compulsory internship on or before March 31 of the exam year is mandatory.

2. Registration with state dental council

• Applicants must be registered with the Dental Council of India (DCI) or any State Dental Council.

3. Citizenship

• A candidate must be citizens of India.

• Eligible foreign nationals must have a temporary registration with the Dental Council of India.

Counselling for NEET MDS 2025

Difference between mop-up round & stray vacancy round

The mop-up round and stray vacancy round in NEET counselling are conducted to fill seats left vacant after the main counselling rounds. It allows candidates who did not secure a seat in the previous rounds to participate by registering afresh, filling choices, and getting allotments. In contrast, the stray vacancy round is managed directly by individual colleges or universities under MCC guidelines to fill seats still vacant after the mop-up round. NEET MDS 2025: Exam day guidelines

To ensure a seamless and stress-free experience, candidates appearing for NEET MDS 2025 must adhere to the following important guidelines:

Before exam day
