Riga Stradins University

Having been in existence for over 100 years, Stradins University has a long history! It is one of the few Universities in Latvia which attach importance to being traditionally integrated into the country's health system. Thus, it ensures the successful operation of the university, which is a prerequisite for an effective health system in Latvia. It enjoys relatively affordable Tuition fees and a high level of academic education. It is becoming increasingly popular with international students because of this.

It currently offers a complete professional training programme to over 10,000 students, which is characterised by student collaboration and active participation in group work. Medical students learn all the necessary core competencies to become highly qualified doctors. The training is very practice-oriented. In the third year, there are opportunities to interact with patients and discuss medical examinations and treatment plans with practitioners. The university is developing rapidly and is always at the cutting edge of medicine. Currently, students from more than 60 different countries apply for the 6-year degree programme.
