NEET UG 2025 scorecard explained
The NEET scorecard displays all the information of the candidate, such as
Your roll number
Application number
Personal details
Subject-wise marks (physics, chemistry, biology)
Raw score and total score
NEET percentile score
NEET All India Rank (AIR)
Qualifying status
Category-wise cut off
Tie-breaking criteria
If candidates have the same marks in the NEET UG exam, then the candidate obtaining higher marks in biology (botany and zoology) gets a higher rank.
If the tie is still there, then the candidate with higher marks in chemistry gets a higher rank.
If a tie is still there, then physics scores are used.
If still tied, then the candidate with fewer incorrect answers in all the subjects will be preferred.
If it continues, then the candidate with fewer mistakes in biology will be preferred; after biology, chemistry will be considered, and then physics.
If the tie remains, the ranking will be determined by a random process under the guidance of an independent expert committee.

NEET final answer key 2025
After the NEET exam, the National Testing Agency releases the provisional answer key. This allows candidates to raise objections to any question or answer that they believe is incorrect. For each question, you have to pay a fee, i.e., 200, and many students submit their doubts and queries. Every query is carefully reviewed by an independent expert committee, and they are appointed by the NTA.
After this, the final answer key is released before announcing the results. This is released by NTA, with all the correct answers and final answers, which help in keeping the result fair.
NEET UG 2025 cutoff marks and merit list
The NEET cutoff scores are released every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). These marks are the minimum score a candidate must achieve to qualify for admission into top medical institutions, especially government colleges. The cutoff is decided by NTA after considering various parameters. Along with this, a category-wise rank list (General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST) is also released. Candidates must score within a specific range under their respective category to be eligible for a government medical seat.
The NEET merit list is a document that includes the names and ranks of all candidates who have qualified. It is prepared based on the candidates' NEET scores, percentiles, and category-wise reservations. This list plays a key role in the counselling process, where candidates with higher ranks are given preference.
The 2025 final answer key and merit list have not been released yet; they will be released shortly in a few days.
NEET counselling process 2025
After the NEET UG result 2025 is announced, the next step is the counselling process for admission into medical colleges. This process is divided into two types: All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling and State Quota Counselling. For All India Quota seats, students must register themselves on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), and for state quota seats, the government does the counselling.
During registration, candidates can select their preferred colleges and courses. Counseling takes place in several rounds, and a final round is the Mop-up Round. Once a candidate is allotted a college, they are required to report to the respective college for document verification, which is a crucial part of the admission process.
