The Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide and offers around 800 international students degree programmes in human medicine and dentistry in English. The degrees are recognised in the EU, the USA and many other countries. The campus, which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including direct access to the teaching hospital for practical experience, is also home to one of the most modern medical simulation centres in Europe. It enriches learning through realistic simulations.

Students also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conjunction with medical simulations in a fully equipped five-story teaching hospital, under the guidance of a highly qualified team. In addition, the faculty supports preparation for the USMLE exam (Steps 1 and 2 CK) through integrated curricula, preparatory seminars, specialised literature and, if successful, the possibility of a scholarship to cover test fees.

A highlight of the Faculty of Medicine is the brand new Simulation Centre (SIMU), the most modern simulation centre in Central Europe, which allows you to experience all medical procedures first-hand. From the simplest to the most complex. There is no other place where you can train everything without jeopardising the lives of patients. SIMU is the place where mistakes are welcome as long as you learn from them.

SIMU offers a brand new approach to teaching in general medicine and dentistry. SIMU complements the existing curricula with a unique aspect of acquiring individual skills and procedures using simulators. During your studies at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, you can enjoy the rare opportunity to experience the connection between medical simulations and clinical practice in the faculty hospitals. This five-storey student hospital is equipped with healthcare and simulation equipment and is staffed by one of the largest and best-trained teams in the field. Under the guidance of this team, you will get straight into action and experience what you would have previously only experienced after several years of study or in medical practice.

Admission procedure

Before you can begin your academic journey at the renowned Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, there is one final challenge: the entrance exam. This exam is held in the form of a written single-choice test and includes questions from the fields of biology, chemistry and physics. The content of the test corresponds to the standard of a complete secondary school education in these subjects.
